BODY MOVEMENT AND HOW IT CAN INCREASE YOUR HEALTH AND REDUCE PAIN

Moving your body is very important for health. 👌Why? you ask?


For those who have low blood circulation, stiff joints, pain and restricted movement – you are the ones who need to move more to help ease these symptoms.
Movement is not just about running or walking, it can also be in the form of muscle contraction.


When muscles contract it causes your lymphatic system to circulate better – this helps to rid toxins from the body! In doing so, it can decrease pain, make joints less stiff and also help increase circulation.

How does movement decrease pain?

Doing regular exercise increases serotonin (a neurotransmitter that carries messages between your nerve cells) which increases natural opioids (natural pain killers) inside our bodies to be released, thus decreasing pain.


Here are some tips on how to enhance your body movement!


When watching TV, change how you sit 📺
Sitting in the same spot without changing positions is typical when you watch TV. If you change where you sit and how you sit, you are giving your body some extra movement for muscle contraction.


Enjoy doing your chores 🍀
When doing the laundry, washing dishes, mopping or sweeping, enjoy them! consider them as getting some extra moment for your body! If you listen to your favorite music at the same time, you can “bop” and “sway” with it, giving your lymphatic system an extra boost!


Shower hack 💦
When you are done in the shower, turning the hot water off then allowing the cod water to run over your body for 20 seconds will activate your muscles into a shiver! Not only will it create more movement and lymphatic flow in your body, but this is an EXCELLENT way to give your body a wake up hit without the need for coffee, and usually works much better!


Date Walk 🍱
When going on a date, instead of dinner and movie, why not a hike in the forest? a walk in the park? Taking a picnic 🥗 with you means you can sit anywhere the view is scenic and have a romantic 🥂 lunch or dinner for 2.


Making your workstation more healthy 💻
If at a desk for your job, set it up that will allow you to keep changing positions and stand while you work. Aside from standing, try sitting on the floor, or even sit on one of those giant gym balls for a while. Changing up your positions will also help to alleviate back pain, aid in concentration, and give you more energy. 💪👍👏
